Privacy policy
Your closet. Your data.
Effective September 25, 2026 (updated October 25, 2026: added The Mogger Manual purchases and closet reviews)
moggers (moggers.app) is a personal wardrobe app run by Antonio Pulido. "We" and "us" mean the people who run moggers. The app is meant for people in the United States.
This page explains, in plain language, what information moggers collects, why, who helps us handle it, and how to delete it.
The short version
- You sign in with Google. We get your email address and basic Google profile info so you have your own account.
- Your closet (pieces, outfits, wear history) is stored in a database that only your signed-in account can read or change.
- Photos you add are shrunk on your phone first, then stored as private files that only your account can open.
- We don't run ads, we don't use analytics or tracking tools, and we don't sell your information.
- Shopping links are coming. Some may earn us a commission, and the store or network may set its own cookies when you tap one. See "Shopping links" below.
1. What we collect
Your account (from Google sign-in)
When you tap "Continue with Google," Google and Firebase (Google's app platform) handle the sign-in. We receive:
- your email address (shown in the app as "Signed in as ...")
- your Google display name and profile picture link (Google provides these; the app does not currently show them)
- a random account ID that Firebase creates for you
- when your account was created and when you last signed in
We never see or store your Google password.
Your closet (what you type in)
Everything you add is saved to your account:
- Pieces: name, category, brand, color, size you bought, price paid, store, purchase date, fabric, fabric weight (GSM), fit type, heat rating, rain-friendly, return deadline, status (kept / return pending / returned), fit notes, and when the piece was added.
- Outfits: outfit name, notes, which pieces are in it and in which slot, and when it was saved.
- Wear log: each time you tap "Wore this": the date and which outfit.
Only put in what you're comfortable storing. Fit notes are free text, so avoid typing sensitive personal details there.
Photos (optional)
- Your phone resizes a photo (to at most 640 pixels on the long side) and re-saves it as a small JPEG before it leaves your phone. Re-saving this way drops the hidden photo details your camera adds (such as location and camera model).
- The small photo is stored as a private file in a folder named after your account ID. It can only be viewed through a link that our server creates for your signed-in account, and that link stops working after 1 hour.
- Your closet stores only the photo's file name and file ID, not the photo itself.
Importing a file
The "Import pieces" button reads a file you pick on your own device. Only the piece fields listed above are kept; anything else in the file is ignored and never uploaded.
Usage limits
To stop anyone from overloading the app, our server counts how many photo requests each account makes per minute and per day. These counts are tied to your account ID, not your internet address, and are only used to enforce the limits.
Technical information
Like any website, the companies that deliver moggers to your phone (see "Who helps us run moggers") automatically receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of the request. We don't use it to track you.
Our server's request logs (kept by Cloudflare) are held for up to 3 days and are used only to find and fix errors.
Shopping links (coming soon)
Shopping links are not live yet. When they are, tapping one will first go through our own server, which records:
- the time of the tap
- a coded version of your account ID (a scrambled key only our server can make, not the ID itself)
- where in the app the link was (for example, "Shop similar")
- which affiliate network the link belongs to
- the product's ID
We record this to count which placements people actually use, to match up commissions the networks report to us, and to catch errors or abuse. The network only receives a random click ID that we make up for that one tap. We never send your name, email address, or account ID to stores or affiliate networks.
Recommendations (coming soon)
When recommendations are turned on, details from your closet (such as category, color, fit, fabric, and price) will be used to suggest items that fit what you already own. This happens on our own server. We'll update this page with exactly what is used before it ships.
What we do not collect
- No body measurements are requested by the app.
- No precise location.
- No contacts, camera roll access beyond the single photo you pick, or microphone.
- No advertising IDs, analytics, or tracking pixels.
- No card details. If you buy The Mogger Manual, you pay on PayPal's checkout page; we only get a record of the purchase (see below).
If you buy The Mogger Manual
- Purchase record: which option you bought, when, the email you paid with, and PayPal's order and payment IDs. We use it to unlock the manual on your account and to handle refunds.
- Your progress: which modules you've finished and the worksheet answers you type, saved to your account like your closet.
- Closet review ($129 option), only if you tap "Send for review": a one-time copy of your piece details (name, category, brand, color, size, fabric, fit, heat rating, status, price, fit notes), your outfits, wear counts, and any note you add. Photos, purchase dates, stores and return deadlines are not included. You see the full list before sending. Only you and the moggers reviewer can read it, and the reviewer's written reply is saved with it.
2. Why we use it
- To run your account: to sign you in and keep your closet separate from everyone else's.
- To show your closet: pieces, outfits, photos, cost per wear (worked out from your wear log), and return countdowns.
- To work offline: so the app still opens with weak signal (see "On your phone" below).
- To keep things secure: to check that every request really comes from your signed-in account, and to enforce usage limits.
- Shopping links and recommendations (once live): to suggest items and to get paid a commission by stores when you buy, which helps keep moggers free.
We don't use your information for advertising, and we don't sell it or rent it to anyone.
3. Who helps us run moggers
These companies process information for us so the app can work. Each has its own privacy policy.
-
Google (Firebase Authentication)
Google sign-in.
Handles
Your email, Google profile info, account ID, sign-in times, technical info like IP address.
-
Google (Cloud Firestore)
Stores your closet (US data center).
Handles
Pieces, outfits, wear log.
-
Google (gstatic.com)
Delivers the Firebase code the app loads.
Handles
Technical info like IP address.
-
Cloudflare
Runs our small server (a "Worker") that checks your sign-in, handles photos and counts usage limits; also runs the moggers.app domain name.
Handles
Your sign-in token (checked, not stored), photos passing through on upload, per-account usage counts, request logs kept up to 3 days, technical info.
-
ImageKit
Stores and serves photos.
Handles
Your small photo files, in a private folder named by your account ID.
-
GitHub (GitHub Pages)
Hosts the app's files (the code and design, not your data).
Handles
Technical info like IP address.
-
PayPal (The Mogger Manual payments)
Takes payment when you buy The Mogger Manual, on PayPal's own checkout page (by card, no PayPal account needed), and tells our server the purchase went through. We never see your card details.
Handles
Your payment details and email, under PayPal's privacy statement. We also pass PayPal your moggers account ID and your sign-in email, so the purchase lands on the right account.
-
Ko-fi (tips)
Only if you choose to tap "Support Moggers" and leave a tip. The tip happens on Ko-fi's site, paid through Stripe or PayPal. We never see your card details, and nothing about a tip is linked to your closet.
Handles
Whatever you give Ko-fi and its payment processor on their site, under their own privacy policies.
-
Affiliate networks and stores (coming soon)
Track purchases after you tap a shopping link, so the store can pay us a commission. The first planned network is eBay Partner Network; we'll list each one here before it goes live.
Handles
A random click ID from us, plus whatever they collect on their own sites after you tap through, including their cookies (see below).
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety, or if moggers is ever transferred to someone else (in which case this policy would still apply to your existing data unless you agree otherwise).
4. Cookies and tracking
moggers itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics.
On your phone: to keep you signed in and to let the app work offline, the Firebase code saves your sign-in session and a copy of your closet data in your browser's built-in storage on your device. This is not used to track you.
Affiliate networks (once shopping links are live): when you tap a shopping link and leave moggers, the affiliate network and the store may set their own cookies or use similar technology. That's how they know a purchase came from moggers so they can pay the commission. Those cookies are controlled by them, not us, and follow their privacy policies. You can block or clear them in your browser settings (in iPhone Safari: Settings > Apps > Safari). Blocking them won't change the price you pay.
5. How long we keep it
- Your closet and photos: until you delete them, or until your account is deleted.
- Your sign-in account (Google/Firebase): until your account is deleted.
- Manual purchase records: kept for tax and refund records. If you delete your account, the purchase is kept under the email you paid with, so signing up again with that email gets the manual back. Email us to have it removed.
- Closet review copy: until you delete your account. A small note that your one review was used (a date, nothing else) is kept so the review can't be repeated.
- Shopping link taps (once live): 13 months, then deleted.
- Server request logs: up to 3 days.
- Usage-limit counts: reset every day.
- On your phone: the offline copy of your closet stays while you are signed in, and is erased when you sign out, switch accounts, or delete your account.
- Deleted photos: a deleted photo may stay briefly in ImageKit's delivery cache, but it can't be opened without a fresh private link, which the app will no longer request.
6. Deleting your data
Delete your whole account, in the app: Closet screen > scroll to the bottom > Delete my account, then type DELETE to confirm. You need a connection, and Google may first ask you to confirm it's you. The app then deletes, in this order:
- every photo in your private photo folder,
- your record of shopping-link taps,
- everything in your closet: pieces, outfits, your wear log and settings,
- your moggers sign-in account,
- the offline copy of your closet on that phone.
This can't be undone. If something fails partway (for example you lose signal), the app tells you what was and wasn't deleted, and you can run it again. Deleting your moggers account doesn't delete your Google account. A deleted photo may stay briefly in ImageKit's delivery cache, but it can't be opened without a fresh private link. If you used moggers on another device, open it there and sign out to erase that copy too.
You can also delete things one at a time:
- delete a piece (piece screen > Delete), which also deletes its photo. If the photo can't be deleted right then (for example, no signal), the app tells you; the photo stays private, and deleting your account later removes it.
- delete an outfit (outfit screen > Delete)
- remove a piece's photo (piece screen > Remove), which deletes the photo file too
The app doesn't have a way to delete individual wear-log entries.
If you can't use the app, email us at admnslog@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, and we'll delete your account for you.
The copy on your phone: signing out, switching accounts, or deleting your account erases the offline copy of your closet from that browser. If the app says it couldn't, you can remove it yourself: iPhone Settings > Apps > Safari > Advanced > Website Data > moggers.app > Delete. If you added moggers to your Home Screen, deleting the Home Screen app also removes its stored data.
7. How we protect it
- Database rules only allow your own signed-in account to read or write your closet. Signed-out visitors and other accounts are refused.
- Photos are private files; viewing links are signed for your account and expire after 1 hour.
- Everything travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
- The secret keys for photo storage live only on our server, never in the app.
No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your information, we'll tell you as required by law.
8. Children
moggers is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has created an account, we'll delete it. If you believe a child under 13 is using moggers, email admnslog@gmail.com.
9. Your choices
- You decide what to enter. Every field except a piece's name is optional.
- Photos are optional.
- You can ignore shopping links entirely; the rest of the app works without them.
- You can ask us what we have about you, or to correct or delete it, using the contact below.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page. If a change matters (for example, a new kind of data or a new company handling it), we'll show a notice in the app before it takes effect.
